Q: What do you love about your job?
A: What I love about my job and what drives me is knowing that I am making a difference not only for my team and the company but also for our patients.
Q: What do you love most about your team?
A: I love that I get to work with amazing people every day, every relationship should be built on a foundation of trust. It’s one of the main reasons I have been able to grow in my career and have been able to build great relationships, not only with my team but also with cross functional teams. The trust that we have in each other has allowed us to build a strong team. In return it shows in the great work we do together every day.
Q: How have you influenced change or made an impact in your role?
A: I have had the opportunity to onboard many new employees throughout my career with FMCNA. A lot of them younger women who are extremely talented. I remember being in their shoes once, and how nervous and scared I felt that I may not do well at my new job. I was lucky and had amazing colleagues who believe in me and have supported me throughout my career here at FMCNA. I guess you can say that I am paying it forward, I make sure that not only they realize how talented they are but it is also important that they feel appreciated and confident that they can do the role and so much more if they aspire to do so. The best part is seeing them thriving in their roles and making a difference and not because of me but because of how talented they truly are.
Q: How has your career evolved or continued to inspire you since you started at FMCNA?
A: I have had the opportunity to work with many different departments throughout my career at FMCNA. What we do as a company inspires me every day. I aspire to make a difference not only for the company but also encourage colleagues along the way.
Q: How do you feel that your role is a "vital part" in supporting our patients and our company?
A: I believe my role is a vital part in supporting our patient’s, although what I do is not in a direct connection with them, I trust and believe in the products and knowledge that does reach them. Educating and supporting those who do have a direct connection with our patients is vital to the patient’s journey.
Q: What is your favorite story or memory of your time so far working at FMCNA?
A: I lived in Waltham for 10 years and when I joined FMCNA it was a surprise to see that someone who I knew from one of my previous jobs as a teenager worked at Fresenius. Now I knew him, not because he, worked there but because he shopped at the little bodega (grocery store) that I worked at back in 2003. I was in high school and was having a hard time figuring out the solution to an algebra problem, Al overheard me talking about it and he immediately offered to show me how I could figure it out. The formulary that he gave me worked and I taught it to others in my class. As you can imagine I appreciate knowing Al and seeing him at FMCNA was a very pleasant surprise and it just goes to show that FMCNA employees amazing people like Al who to this day still works at FMCNA.
Q: What advice would you give to someone considering a career at FMCNA?
A: If you want to be a part of something more than a tittle. FMCNA is a great organization that cares deeply for their employees. It will be 13 years since I began my career at FMCNA and I can see how much it has grown as an organization that cares and unifies their employees.
Q: If you had a superpower what would it be, and why?
A: If I had a super power it would be to speak and understand any language fluently. I am bilingual and would have loved to learn and understand more languages. Knowing many languages would not only allow you to communicate with people around the world but it also allows you to learn about other cultures.
