EVERY ROLE PLAYS A VITAL PART

What's our value as an employer? That's an important question in today's job market, and one not all companies remember to answer.  At Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA), the answer is important to us.  So important we embarked on an 18-month journey to find out.  

In order to make informed decisions about what our value as an employer was, we asked our team. We implemented an extensive internal strategic research and interview process that took a 360° approach, including 13 leadership interviews, 1,305 employee surveys, 12 focus groups, and 6 competitor positioning audits.

It was incredibly important to build our employer value proposition using data and research, but also be genuine and be built with the voices of our colleagues, at all levels and in all roles. We are a diverse company made up of many different business units, all doing different (yet related) work to support our patients.

What did we learn?  That every role in our company is vital.

Being a vital part is all about understanding that no matter what you do in the company, whether you are directly serving a patient, or you are analyzing data, or you are doing long term research to improve our product portfolio, every task you complete is absolutely crucial to our patients ability to not only survive, but thrive. The work we do every day literally means the difference between life and death for some people, or at a minimum, it can help improve an individual's quality of life on a daily basis drastically.
