Meet Allaina

Allaina Murphy began her career with us in 2018 as a Home Therapies RN. Allaina found true meaning in her work utilizing her nursing expertise to lift up and empower her patients through their dialysis journey. Allaina is now a Senior Manager in Clinical Education, and works to education staff so that they too can have a powerful impact on their patients.  As Allaina says below, collaboration is key to the success of our organization.  Read on to learn more about Allaina's career with us, and how she is a crucial part of a team that brings valuable and excellent care to our patients. 

LET’S HEAR WHAT ALLAINA HAD TO SAY:

Q: Why did you join the FMCNA team?

A: Shortly after obtaining my MSN in Nursing Education, I began searching for career opportunities. I knew I wanted to use the knowledge I had gained during my educational journey, but I did not realize in what capacity until I was presented with the opportunity to work for Fresenius Medical Care as a Home Therapies RN.

Fresenius has a very welcoming environment, and I instantly felt right at home during my interview! The staff embody the company’s core values and provide excellent care for their patients. I learned that in my role, I would be responsible for providing education for patients to empower them to perform their dialysis treatments in their home on their schedule. I knew that this was a calling that the Lord had placed precisely in my path, and it is a blessing that I have been grateful for ever since!

Q: Tell your story. Describe an experience or feeling that stands out when thinking of your career with FMCNA, it could be in relation to one of our four pillars, or simply a story that describes why you do what you and why you choose FMCNA to do it with.

A:I initially began working for Fresenius as a Home Therapies RN in early 2018. I quickly realized how meaningful this role was in the field of nursing because I was able to impact the lives of my patients in a holistic manner. Working in Home Therapies, I was able to utilize my nursing expertise to impact and empower my patients throughout their dialysis journey while also collaborating with members of the IDT to care for the entire patient and address all of their needs. In my current role as a Senior Manager Clinical Education - Learning Content and Solutions, I am able to impact my patients in an entirely different manner. The work that I do on a daily basis helps to provide staff with a sound background of training to enable them to provide high quality, safe patient care. Collaboration is key to the success of this organization; the input of individuals from all disciplines is extremely valuable and contributes to excellent care for each of our patients!
