Meet Dawn

Dawn Bernstein is a Manager, Clinical Quality. Dawn has been with Fresenius Medical Care for almost 15 years! She is proud to work for a company that care so much about their patients and their employees.  Read on to learn more about what Dawn loves about FMCNA.

LET’S HEAR WHAT DAWN HAD TO SAY:

Q: Why did you join the FMCNA team?

A:  I was a new RN graduate and really liked how in dialysis, I would get to work with patients on a regular basis. I was impressed with how FMCNA supported their patients and staff.

Q: How do you feel that your role is a "vital part" in supporting our patients and our company?

A: I feel that our direct patient care staff are truly the “bread and butter” of our company. I love that fact that in my current role I can support this amazing group of employees. My goal is to make their jobs easier and our patients lives better.

Q: Describe an experience or feeling that stands out when thinking of your career with FMCNA.

A: I have always loved caring for our patients. I am amazed at how resilient they are with this often difficult and challenging disease. I seem to have a gift for working with patients who are really struggling with being on dialysis. It was a source of pride for me to win these patients over and help them “thrive” on dialysis. When a patient tells me that I have helped them, there is no greater feeling in the world. I still have a thank you card that the renal network sent to me for working with a patient that had been discharged from several dialysis facilities. That card is like a trophy to me. I am so proud to work for a company that is the leader in providing care to our patients and looking out for their own employees.

Q: Have you experienced professional growth with personal meaning in your role? If so, how?

A: Since starting with FMCNA almost 15 years ago I have met so many wonderful people along the way who have helped me grow. I have been lucky enough to be able to participate in many company initiatives that have helped me both personally and professionally. I like to pass this on and continue to be a serving leader. It is quite fantastic to see people who you have mentored grow! FMCNA has always been good to me. I am so grateful to work for this company.
