LET’S HEAR WHAT JENNIFER HAD TO SAY:

Q: Why did you join the FMCNA team?

A: I was working in Public Relations and Advocacy for Military Members and their families, when I suddenly lost my mom, who was a Nurse, to cancer. I decided to seek an opportunity in the health care sector to support those providing and receiving critical care. When I researched Fresenius I began to understand that the overall philosophy and culture, from Executive Leadership to Patient Care Technicians, was that doing what was best for the patients mattered most, I realized it was an organization I needed to be a part of.

Q: How do you feel that your role is a “vital part” in supporting our patients and our company?

A: I believe that as we’re working to develop a new team to assist our clinics and patients I am empowering them by providing the tools, to build their knowledge and skills to be able to provide superior service which will ultimately improve the quality of life and care of our patients and partners.

Q: Describe an experience or feeling that stands out when thinking of your career with FMCNA?

A: One thing that I love about Fresenius is how much they invest in their employees and want to help people succeed and grow. The benefits provided have helped me both personally and professionally. At one point I was unhealthy and weighed almost 200lbs, the group in the East Providence Admissions Office brought in the Weight Watchers at Work program and we all supported each other as we worked to achieve goals. I was able to lose 73lbs and become a much healthier version of myself. This was possible by Fresenius offering reimbursement for the program costs, allowing us to have on-site meetings, and with the support of my co-workers. I was also able to go back to school and finish my degree, due to the tuition reimbursement benefit. This opened many doors and opportunities for advancement within the organization. Fresenius investing in my personal and professional growth, and the support of my leadership and teammates has instilled a sense of loyalty and commitment on my part to giving back to others within the company as well.

Q: Do you feel that you have a powerful effect in your role? If so, how?

A: I do believe I have a powerful effect in my role. By empowering and leading my team to success they are better able to ensure clinics receive the guidance and information they need to provide safe and appropriate care to our patients. Having an impact, even indirectly, on a patient’s quality of life is extremely rewarding and powerful.
