Meet Steven
Steven A. MacLeod is a Facilities Security Coordinator with Fresenius Medical Care. Starting out as a contractor in security, Steven used the skills he gained in the US Army to pursue a career. One of the four pillars that Fresenius Medical Care North America builds our corporate culture around is Professional Growth with Personal Meaning. When Steven MacLeod was looking to make the transition from the military into civilian life, this was exactly what he was seeking.
Learn More About Steven
Steven Macleod served honorably in the United States Army for eight years. His first four years of serving, he was Infantry stationed at Fort Drum, NY. During this time period, Steven was deployed on multiple overseas tours. Steven spent his final four years of active duty as Military Intelligence where he was stationed at Fort Devens, MA. While serving as Military Intelligence, Steven again was deployed on several overseas tours of duty.
Upon leaving the United States Army, Steven transitioned into civilian life and faced many of the common challenges Veterans encounter after an extended time serving our country. Coming from a life full of meaning, purpose, and honor, Steven knew he would have to do some searching to find a career path that could offer him those same values.
Trying many different jobs along the way, Steven eventually landed at Fresenius Medical Care North America as a contractor in security. Steven saw this position as a good place to do some soul searching on where he wanted his career to take him and where exactly he wanted to be. It did not take long for him to realize that he in fact needed to go nowhere. Steven had already found a home with Fresenius Medical Care North America, it was the right company to respect and embrace his military skills and experience.
Steven now proudly represents Fresenius Medical Care as our Facilities Security Coordinator for Corporate Building Operations and Real Estate. With the help of Fresenius Medical Care, Steven was able to conquer one of the biggest challenges veterans face upon leaving active duty, how to find purpose and meaning in civilian life that fulfills him in a way that serving his country did.
Thanks to one of the four core pillars on which Fresenius Medical Care builds its culture, Steven has been able to find a home where he continues to serve and work with purpose every single day.
When asked what he would tell the Military community about Fresenius Medical Care, Steven's response was clear:
